| About Us » |
Our Optometric Practice
Primary Eye Care was founded by Dr. Myles McMorris and Dr. Jacqueline John in 1982. We were both born and raised in the province of Saskatchewan and graduated from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, in 1981 with our Doctors of Optometry.
We have always felt that in addition to serving our patients to the the best of our abilities, it is important to contribute to our professional Association, our Community and our Province.
We are proud members of the Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists, (SAO) the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO), the Eye Health Council of Canada and the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Dr. McMorris was a member of the Board of Directors and is the former Chair of the Planning Committee for the Saskatchewan Division of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). He was the founder of the SAO's Official Web-Site and Web-Master for 5 years. He was Editor of the SAO's Official Newsletter for 5 years. He is proud to have received the SAO's 'Optometrist of the Year ' Award in 2000. He served on the Board of Directors of the renowned 'Temple Gardens Mineral Spa and Resort Hotel' for many years.
Dr. John is the chairperson of the SAO's Occupational Vision Care Program and the CAO's Optometric Assistant Program. Dr. John received the SAO's prestigious 'Presidents Award' in 2000.
We are very fortunate and proud to lead a dedicated and knowledgeable staff. We are very supportive of the SAO Optometric Assistants Program.
